Call for papers
We invite original, scholarly research articles for Uttaran, a peer reviewed humanities journal. We particularly encourage discourse-based contributions that deal mainly with theories, explanations and interpretations, critical studies, textual analyses, highlighting new areas of import, etc.
Although field studies, surveys etc., are getting featured in humanities discourse, please try and keep their inclusion as precise as possible, limited only to the relevant results, so that the articles do not lose their qualitative character.
Try and avoid papers that are solely based on survey, use data sets extensively, and rely on quantitative methods.
Only soft copies of manuscripts following the Submission guidelines are acceptable.

1. Literature, linguistics, philosophical and historical discourse, film and theatrical studies and allied subjects.
2. Book reviews, interviews (only for non-peer reviewed section)

Deadline for abstract submission: 25 May 2025
Deadline for full paper submission: 25 June 2025
Deadline for paper acceptance/rejection (decisions will be e-mailed): 30 July 2025
