Best Practices of Maharaja Manindra Chandra College
1. Encouraging Students’ Mindset towards Society Development
To develop students’ attitudes and values so that their education contributes not only to individual success but also to the development of a better, just and sustainable society.

The college reports that a large number of students participate in these activities and become motivated towards social responsibility.
Examples documented in the AQAR include NSS health and eye-check-up camps, dengue-awareness campaigns, environmental activities, and support for underprivileged children and women.
2. Prize Distribution to Encourage Students
To encourage academic excellence through recognition and healthy competition among students.
Practice:
- Students securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in different subjects are felicitated.
- Prizes include books and medals.
- Teachers and the Alumni Association contribute prizes.
- The practice is intended to motivate students to achieve better academic results.

3. Student-Centric Teaching–Learning
The college uses seminars, workshops, training, educational tours, internships and career counselling alongside conventional teaching. ICT-enabled teaching, PPTs and e-content are also used.
4. Digital and Library-Based Learning
The college provides access to KOHA OPAC, N-LIST, e-resources, digital repositories and online learning materials. The library also provides reference, current-awareness and selective dissemination services.)
5. Interdisciplinary and NEP-Oriented Education
The AQAR records nine interdisciplinary academic activities, along with IDC, internship and add-on courses introduced in the context of NEP implementation.
6. Skill Development and Employability
Internships, add-on courses, career counselling and vocational skill development are promoted through collaborations with external institutions.
7. Inclusive and Socially Responsible Campus
The college has undertaken measures such as sanitary-pad vending and incinerator facilities etc.
8. Quality Assurance through IQAC
The IQAC coordinates academic and quality-enhancement activities, including MOUs, seminars, interdisciplinary programmes, audits, feedback analysis and AQAR preparation.
9. Outcome-Based Education
The college reports implementation of Outcome-Based Education, including defined Programme Outcomes and Course Outcomes and PO–CO mapping.
